Privacy Policy For Cassini – A Dealer App

Last updated: 31 July 2026

1 · Who We Are

Cassini Hardware (“we”, “our”) operates the Cassini dealer app, a B2B catalogue and enquiry tool available exclusively to authorised dealers.

2 · What We Collect (Current Version)

Data How it’s handled
Email address (OTP login) Used to send a one-time password for authentication. Not stored on the device after login — only a session token is retained.
Session token A secure token stored locally on your device via Android’s DataStore. Transmitted only to verify your identity with our server.
Product catalogue data Downloaded and cached locally on your device for offline use. Browsing activity is not transmitted back to us.
Enquiry lists Stored locally on your device only. When you tap “Send Enquiry on WhatsApp”, the list is composed into a WhatsApp message and sent by you directly. It is not logged or stored by the app or our servers in this version.
We do not collect

Phone numbers, location, contacts, camera, microphone, advertising IDs, or any behavioural analytics data in this version.

3 · Upcoming Data Collection (Next App Version)

Heads up The next version of this app will introduce usage tracking. We are disclosing this in advance so you know what to expect. This policy will be updated in full before that version is released.

A future update will collect the following data to help us improve the catalogue and better serve our dealer network:

  • Products viewed — which product pages you open and when
  • Search queries — terms entered in the search bar
  • Enquiries submitted — which products were included in an enquiry, quantities, and the time of submission. This will be logged on our servers in addition to being sent via WhatsApp.
  • Banner interactions — whether you tapped a banner and which product it led to
  • App open frequency — how often and when the app is used

This data will be linked to your dealer account and stored on our servers. It will be used solely for internal business purposes — improving the catalogue, understanding dealer needs, and measuring feature effectiveness. It will not be sold or shared with third parties.

4 · How We Use Your Data

Data collected is used solely to:

  • Authenticate your dealer account
  • Deliver and cache the product catalogue on your device
  • Receive enquiries you choose to send via WhatsApp

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose outside of operating this dealer app.

5 · Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party outside the Cassini Hardware team, except as described below.

WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Inc.)

When you choose to send an enquiry, WhatsApp is opened with a pre-filled message. That interaction is subject to WhatsApp’s own Privacy Policy at whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Hostinger

Product images and catalogue content are served from our hosting provider, Hostinger. No personal data is shared with them.

6 · Data Storage & Security

All data stored on your device (session token, cached catalogue) is managed by Android’s secure storage APIs and remains on your device.

Our servers are hosted on Hostinger and protected by HTTPS. Access to dealer accounts requires a valid OTP-verified session token.

7 · Data Retention

Your session token and cached catalogue data remain on your device until you log out or uninstall the app.

You may request deletion of your dealer account at any time by contacting us at the address in Section 11.

8 · Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Know what data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Withdraw consent at any time by logging out and uninstalling the app

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in Section 11.

9 · Children

This app is intended for business use only and is not directed at or accessible to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10 · Changes to This Policy

We will update this page whenever our data practices change, including before the analytics features described in Section 3 are released. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any revision.

Continued use of the app after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
